By using FacultySphere, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Information we collect
FacultySphere may collect information necessary to create and operate your account, including:
- Full name
- Email address
- Profile photo, if provided
- Gender, if required
- Department
- Semester
- Section or group
- Major/minor information
- Roll number or student identification information
- Professor-related academic information
- Login and authentication information
We may also store academic information generated while using FacultySphere, such as:
- Timetable and class information
- Attendance records
- Quiz attempts and results
- Course/class enrollment
- Notifications
- Academic schedules
- Reports
- Chat messages
- Subscription and payment status
Authentication information
FacultySphere may support authentication through services such as:
- Email/password
- Google Sign-In
- Other supported authentication methods
Authentication information may be processed using Firebase Authentication or other service providers required to operate the app.
FacultySphere does not receive or store your Google account password.
Attendance information
Professors and authorized administrators may record and manage student attendance.
Attendance data may include:
- Student name
- Roll number
- Course/class
- Date
- Present/absent status
- Attendance percentage
Students may view their own attendance according to the functionality provided by FacultySphere.
FacultySphere may also provide privacy controls for displaying limited attendance information to other students where such functionality is enabled.
Quiz information

- Quiz questions
- Student responses
- Correct and incorrect answers
- Marks/scores
- Submission time
- Attempt history
- Quiz results
This information may be accessible to the relevant student, professor, and authorized administrator.
Timetable and academic information
FacultySphere may process academic data provided by authorized administrators, including:

- Course code
- Professor
- Department
- Semester
- Section
- Classroom
- Date/time
- Academic calendars
- Examination schedules
- Holiday schedules
This information is used to provide relevant academic schedules to students and professors.
Notifications
FacultySphere may send notifications relating to:
- Classes

- Attendance
- Quizzes
- Academic events
- Account activity
- Important announcements
Push notifications may be provided through services such as Firebase Cloud Messaging.
Users may control notification permissions through their device settings where supported.
Subscriptions and payments
FacultySphere may offer paid plans or subscriptions.
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers such as Razorpay.
FacultySphere does not directly store complete payment card or banking credentials.
Payment providers may process information according to their own privacy policies.
We may retain payment-related records such as:

These records are retained where necessary for account management and support.
Technical information

FacultySphere does not sell personal information to advertisers.

- Cloud infrastructure providers

- Analytics/crash-reporting services, where enabled
These providers process information according to their applicable terms and privacy practices.

Role-based access
FacultySphere uses role-based access controls.

- Students may access information relevant to their account and enrolled classes.
- Professors may access information relating to authorized classes and students.
- Administrators may access academic or account information necessary to manage their authorized institution/department.
Users must not attempt to access data for which they are not authorized.

Academic use and younger users
FacultySphere is designed for academic use.
Where users are below the age at which they can independently consent to data processing under applicable law, use of the service may require authorization from a parent, guardian, educational institution, or other authorized party.
Do not provide personal information without appropriate authorization where required.
Updates to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when FacultySphere features, technologies, or legal requirements change.
The updated policy will display a revised “Last Updated” date.
